For over 60 years, in the heart of the Apennine Mountains, we have processed natural feathers with artisan skill transforming them into precious accessories for feathers.
Since 1960 Galeottipiume has been based outside Florence, on the chain of mountains dividing Tuscany from Emilia-Romagna. During these 50 years of collaboration with artists and designers, we have created a web of human relationships supported by transparency and mutual trust.
The landscape, the nature, an ancient artisan culture in which our company has developed, have marked our work style. We believe that this has always been and continues to be our principal richness. We use real feathers of birds farmed for the food industry and therefore excluded by the Convention of Washington. The raw material is collected and selected all over the world in full respect of the nature without damaging the animal species.
Research, creative sensitivity and innovation have always been the guidelines for our production processes. Through our constant engagement in our work, we have been developing special treatments, new dyeing and assembling techniques in order to adapt a difficult raw material to our customer’s special needs.
