Concept
Feather as Ritual is a project that focuses on the feather as a symbolic, ritual, and sensory material.
A symbol that has always been imbued with spiritual significance, the feather appears across cultures and civilizations as an emblem of transformation, connection with the divine, protection, and identity.
The project explores the feather not merely as a decoration, but as a living surface capable of absorbing color, memory, and movement.
Through experiments with color and printing techniques, the natural texture of the feather is emphasized and amplified: the feather prints itself, revealing and multiplying its own pattern.
Symbolism & Ritual
In tribal cultures, the feather is a sacred object: used in headdresses, ornaments, and ritual implements, it symbolizes strength, protectionaction, freedom, and the passage between worlds. This exploration reinterprets that symbolism through a contemporary lens, transforming the artisanal gesture into a ritual act. The value of the material lies not only in the visual result, but in the repetitive process, in the time required to build up the surface, and in the respect shown for the material.
Atmosphere & Palette
The visual language is developed through natural, layered palettes inspired by the earth, mineral pigments, and organic hues.
The resulting surfaces are irregular, vibrant, and never identical: each feather retains its own individuality.
Craft as ritual. Gesture as process. Feather as language.
